The Adina String Quartet consists of four musicians from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra who bring together a wealth of training and expertise.
The members of The Adina String Quartet have performed together for over 17 years and share a history of music making that ensures dynamic performances of quality chamber music.
Drawing from a wide range of repertoire, performances include pieces from the early baroque to exciting contemporary works. The quartet takes particular interest in presenting Australian compositions and has worked together with composers such as Peter Sculthorpe, Elena Kats-Chernin and Phillip Houghton.
The quartet enjoys collaborating with other professional musicians and ensembles and has performed with well-respected artists including William Barton, the Brisbane Chamber Choir, Dance North in Townsville and the acclaimed American pianist Rita Sloan. .
The quartet has recorded for 4MBS FM and were the resident quartet for the 2015 Classic Concerts Cruise to New Zealand.
The Adina String Quartet regularly represents the Queensland Symphony Orchestra presenting concerts, educational activities and workshops.
